PROGRAMMING NOTE: The AMA Pro Road Racing action from Laguna Seca will air on SPEED Sunday, July 29th starting at 11:00pm ET.
Ask 19-year-old Cameron Beaubier his secret to winning the last three out of four AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike races, including Sunday’s Race 2 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and he’ll tell you that it’s not just him or his #6 Yamaha YZF-R6, although they clearly have a lot to do with it.
Cameron and his teammate Tommy Hayden, rider of the #22 Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha R6, are both quick to tell you that it takes a team to win races and be in the top four in the season points standings in the highly competitive DSB class. Tommy is currently in third, and Cameron has now moved up to fourth in the standings despite missing three races earlier in the season due to injury.
To give you an inside look at that successful team effort, specifically during the Buckeye SuperBike Weekend at Mid-Ohio, take a look at this video:
You’ll see Cameron and Tommy in action on the picturesque, undulating 2.4-mile, 15-turn Mid-Ohio road course, and you’ll also catch glimpses of some of the people behind the scenes. Dedicated Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha crew members who give their all to Cameron and Tommy to make sure they’re on the best two Daytona SportBikes in the paddock. It’s a total team effort, and you’ll get a little bit of a sense of that in the video.
