Tropical Storm Hanna finally made its way up the East Coast to New York and the Monticello Raceway forcing AMA Pro Racing and Buddy Ford Promotions to postpone Round 17 of the AMA Flat Track Twins Championship. The race will now run on Sunday with qualifying at 11:00am and the first Expert Twins Heat at 12:30pm. The GNC Heats are scheduled to start at 1:30pm.
The
Buddy Ford Promotions team was hurrying to finish the Amateur and Pro-Sport portion of the weekend only to have the persistent sprinkle turn into a steady rain, just as the Pro-Sport Main was ready to hit the track. They were able to run the Amateur Main and paid off the 85cc and Vintage classes by their heat race finishes. The Pro-Sports will run their Main Sunday.
