High Point will host its 36th Lucas Oil Pro Motocross National.

The FMF High Point National is the first of two rounds in the state of Pennsylvania.

Each of former champion Chad Reed’s inaugural 250 Class and 450 Class victories came at High Point. Reed will not be competing at High Point this season.

High Point and Hangtown share the distinction of having the most international winners, with six different riders combined across the 450 and 250 Classes.

For the last four seasons, the 450 Class winner at High Point has gone on to win the championship.

Despite not finishing either moto last weekend, James Stewart has won 28 of the last 31 motos he’s entered (90%), claiming the overall in 14 of his last 16 races (87%).

Ryan Dungey’s win was his first with KTM in Lucas Oil Motocross and the brand’s first in the 450 Class. He has now given the manufacturer its inaugural Supercross and Motocross victories in the premier class this season.

Dungey now has 15 career wins in the 450 Class, placing him in a tie for seventh all time with Jeremy McGrath.

Dungey is leading the 450 Class standings for the first time since entering the second round of the 2011 season, when he was co-leader with Chad Reed.

With six career wins, Blake Baggett has more victories that any other active rider in the 250 Class.

After breaking through for his first career professional victory during his rookie 2009 season, Justin Barcia waited 28 races before returning to the top of the podium.

450 Class Stats

The first 450 Class race was held at High Point on May 29, 1977. Tony Distefano won on a Suzuki.

This will be the 36th time the gate will drop for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at High Point.

Last season, Ryan Villopoto became the sixth different rider in history to win in both the 450 Class and 250 Class at High Point.

Chad Reed is the only rider in history to get his first career wins in both the 450 Class and 250 Class at High Point.

Kawasaki and Suzuki are the only brands to win at High Point since 2005. Suzuki has five wins, while Kawasaki has two.

Ricky Carmichael is the winningest rider at High Point, with six-consecutive victories from 2002-2007.
