Yamaha USA's 2008 AMA Supersport champ Ben Bostrom continued to reign supreme in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike practice sessions at Daytona International Speedway, holding an advantage of more than a second during the final nighttime practice session of this year's annual Daytona tire test.
Along with posting some blisteringly quick times (well over a second under the times he posted to lead the charts on Friday), Bostrom spent some time during the session tutoring Graves Yamaha's 16-year-old Tommy Aquino, talking him through some ideal lines before going out with him to show him the fast way around.
Team M4 EMGO Suzuki's Martin Cardenas was second fastest in the session, followed by Jake Zemke and Dale Westby.
Cardenas'
teammate, Cory West, rounded out the top five.
The SportBikes will conclude their Daytona tire test on Sunday morning, followed by a final afternoon session for the American Superbikes.
