Having fought so hard just to break into the Superbike class, Josh Hayes unashamedly admits that he's greedy now that he's arrived. The Mississippian is making up for lost time and he fights and claws to win every single race and championship in his path.
The new #1 didn't even seem to want to let any of his challengers lead the unofficial opening the 2011 season, as he piloted his Yamaha R1 to the fastest time in the first session at today's abbreviated Daytona Tire Test.
Continuing on the 'those who finished strong' theme, Yoshimura Suzuki teammates Tommy Hayden, the 2010 runner-up, and Blake Young, the season finale race winner, clocked in at second and third, respectively.
Meanwhile, a pair of exciting (re)additions to the class, Roger Hayden and Martin Cardenas, ranked seventh and eighth as they work to get accustomed to their new racebikes.
Check back for more coverage as the testing continues.
