AMA SX: Anaheim II Preview
Written by: Steve Cox   http://racerxill.com
Anaheim, CA

The second of three Anaheim Supercrosses is guaranteed to bring something different to the Monster Energy/AMA Supercross Championship. First of all, the track itself has been built to mirror (as best as possible) the 1986 Anaheim Supercross track (which hosted one of the most famous battles in history, between Team Honda's Ricky Johnson and David Bailey).

Johnson was present on Press Day, and many of the old-school crowd will be at Anaheim Stadium Saturday night, including Johnson's rival Bailey.

Opening
ceremonies will likely have an '80s flair, as will much of the activity in the pits, but as of now, it looks like the '80s fever didn't catch on to team graphics or gear very much, with a few exceptions.

As far as the racing is concerned, the 450cc class should once again come down to a battle between San Manuel Yamaha's Chad Reed and Monster Energy Kawasaki's James Stewart, who have split the first two wins of the season and are tied atop the championship leaderboard with 15 races still left to run.
