On August 9th and 10th, one of Finland’s most extreme enduro races is taking place and BMW Motorrad Motorsport will be participating in the action with a couple of extremely talented riders. Former seven-time World Enduro Champion Kari Tiainen will ride the new G 450 X in the Himos Off-Road Pro cross country race and he will be joined by fellow countryman and four-time World Rally Champion, Tommi Mäkinen on BMW Motorrad’s new sport enduro.

“I’ve been on the road now for a while and am looking forward to returning to Finland,” said the 41-year-old off-road superstar. “We’ve got a couple of days testing in France after the race and then I’ll be hooking up with Tommi. It’s a hobby for him now and he has quite a few bikes. I’ve given him some training in the past and he also tried to teach me to drive a rally car, but it’s easy to see that he’s a natural racer – there’s always a bit of friendly competition between us!”
