PROGRAMMING NOTE: The MotoGP season finale from Valencia will air on SPEED on Sunday, November 8th at 6:00pm ET, immediately following coverage of the 250GP race.

Honda hero Wayne Gardner has a master plan for Honda to regain MotoGP supremacy -- sign the 2007 world champion and Malaysian GP winner Casey Stoner.

Gardner, the 1987 world champion with Honda, believes his former team has lost direction and needs an urgent restructure. He reckons that Stoner should be linked with Spaniard Dani Pedrosa to form a 'super team' for Honda in 2011.

Stoner is closing out the 2009 season in superb form after a nine-week illness
sabbatical and is aiming for his third race win in a row in this Sunday's Valencia Grand Prix on the back of victories at Phillip island and Sepang.

When fit and fast Stoner is hot property and the rider Honda should be chasing.

Gardner's thoughts on the demise of the factory HRC squad and the solutions to Honda's problems expose what he considers to be deep problems within the team. But all hope is not lost as the top four riders in the world are all free agents for 2011. The bidding starts now.

Stoner, Pedrosa, Valentino Rossi, and Jorge Lorenzo will all be part of a frenzied rider market next year.
