Kurt Busch was the fastest in the extended practice session today at Talladega Superspeedway for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Aaron's 312.

Qualifying was replaced today by the lengthy final practice due to rain canceling yesterdays on-track activities. The field has been set by the NASCAR rules with series leader Elliott Sadler starting from the pole slot.

Kurt Busch ran a fast lap of 190.045 mph with brother Kyle running second. Sam Hornish Jr., Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Michael Annett filled out the top five.

Danica Patrick was 12th quickest with a top speed of 187.196 mph.

Sadler was 14th fastest.

The race will be held at 3:15 PM ET on Saturday.
