JOSH HANSEN (No. 100 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki)

YOU HAD A CAREER-BEST FINISH OF SEVENTH IN THE 450 CLASS LAST WEEKEND. HOW EXCITING WAS IT?

"It was cool. We're going to get better. We can't be happy with seventh. We can't be settling with this seventh-place stuff. We're getting better. I still think we're getting better every weekend."

YOU'RE ONLY 12 POINTS BEHIND FOURTH-PLACE; IS THE IMMEDIATE GOAL TO CRACK THE TOP-FIVE?

"Yeah. I think we need to make some changes to our Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki. There are some things that I'd like to do to get more comfortable on the bike. I think that it's building confidence. We have a long series. To be making progress every weekend is what we want. As long as we're doing that, we're heading in the right direction.

"My goal is to get inside the top five and get a podium and a shot at a race win. I think we need to be able to crawl before we walk. I'm taking it one step at a time. I'm trying to make each week a positive and moving forward in the right direction every time that I jump on the seat."

KYLE PARTRIDGE (No. 83 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki)

YOU WERE FIGHTING A PRETTY NASTY COLD LAST WEEKEND IN LOS ANGELES. HOW ARE YOU FEELING HEADING INTO OAKLAND FOR SATURDAY NIGHT'S ROUND?

"I'm feeling better. I actually had to go to the hospital a few nights ago because I ended up getting diagnosed with a respiratory infection. I'm on some meds and feel like I'm finally starting to feel better. It felt like I had a softball in my chest all last weekend. I'm feeling better. I'm going to try and ride tomorrow and see how I feel."

HOW HAS YOUR PRE-RACE RIDING REGIMENT BEEN?

"Right now, we're just trying to maintain so that we can try and limit any injuries before the events. We don't want to ride everyday and risk injuries before the event."

THERE HAS BEEN THREE DIFFERENT WINNERS ON THREE DIFFERENT MODELS OF BIKES SO FAR THIS YEAR. IS THAT A STATEMENT ON HOW COMPETITIVE THE 450 CLASS IS THIS YEAR?

"I think it just goes to show that anybody outside of the top five are capable of winning. Just to make the event in the 450 Class is really challenging. There are a lot of talented riders and it's a dogfight. There were guys coming to the track and unloading off the back of a pick-up truck and making the Main. Luckily, I have great people and a fast Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing/Kawasaki. I have all the pieces of the puzzle. I'm not exactly where I think I need to be, but I'm definitely getting better."
