Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Broc Tickle, Tyla Rattray, and Dean Wilson are headed to Oakland, Calif. this weekend for the fourth round of the 2012 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. In what has already proven to be a very exciting championship series, the boys are staying focused and hope for nothing less than a podium finish.
Wilson, the Los Angeles Supercross Lites East Main runner-up, has been working hard during the week and knows what he has to do to finish strong. He’s clearly focused and knows that staying consistent is extremely important in this short championship series.
“I’m focusing on getting a good start,” says Wilson. “I’ve been really putting my time into working on the things I felt I needed to improve on. I’m pretty happy it’s going to be a dry weekend.”
Rattray finished just off the podium in Los Angeles, and has been working hard to get back on the box this Saturday in Oakland. He’s feeling good and is a pro at keeping his nose to the grindstone.
“I’m looking forward to an awesome race this weekend,” says Rattray. “I stuck to my usual training routine this week. It’s tough but it’s something I have to do to keep feeling the vibe. Oakland should be good!”
Tickle cracked the top 10 in the Supercross Main and finished eighth – his career-best in that class. He’s had a tough start to the season, but is finally starting to get his stride, and is hoping for a repeat-performance in Oakland this year.
“I’m definitely ready for Saturday. Oakland was good to me last year – I won the Supercross Lites West Main. I’m working on everything and, even though I’m happy with last week’s finish, I’m hoping to get some better results.”
Wilson, Rattray, and Tickle will be at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., this Saturday January 28 for the fourth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. Wilson sits second, only one point behind the current series points leader, in the Supercross Lites West Region with 62 points. Rattray moved to third with 60 points, and Tickle jumped up to 14th with 22 points in the Supercross Class. The series points standings are extremely close, making this Saturday’s race one not to miss.
