SX: Power Rankings - Atlanta
James Stewart moves up the rankings thanks to his big win in Atlanta, but everyone is still chasing Davi Millsaps.

6. Chad Reed (Last Week: 5 / -1)
It was surprising to see Reed mired deep down the top 10 in Atlanta, a track that he typically thrives on. However, starts have been Reed’s biggest challenge this season. He hasn’t consistently had the chance to run up front but has definitely proven he’s capable of being there when the opportunity arises. I’d be willing to bet Stewart's success provided a little bit of added motivation for Reed to break into that win column himself. This is definitely foreign territory for the original Mr. Consistency.
7. James Stewart (Last Week: 10 / +3)
Stewart’s win was a big one and was the proof that the potential he showed in Dallas was a sign of things to come. While it may not have championship implications for him, if Stewart is able to run up front more consistently, he’s going to be an interesting factor in how the top three riders jockey for points moving forward.
8. Andrew Short (Last Week: 7 / -1)
Short’s debut ride for BTO Sports KTM unfortunately resulted in his worst result of the season. Go figure. There will probably be a little bit of an adjustment period for Short as he acclimates to the KTM following seven weeks aboard a Honda, but what happened in Atlanta was likely a fluke and he should be back in the top 10 this weekend.
9. Justin Brayton (Last Week: 8 / -1)
Like Short, Brayton had one of his worst nights of the season in Atlanta. He finished outside the top 10 for just the second time this year, which allowed Stewart to slip back by him in the standings. Brayton will look to turn things around in St. Louis and get back on track.
10. Tie: Broc Tickle (Last Week: 9 / -1) & Matt Goerke (New Entry)
A nice battle is brewing for the 10th spot in the championship between these two riders. They’re not only close in the standings, but they are crossing paths often out on the track as well. Just two points separate the pair and it’s fitting that this battle also carries over into the Power Rankings as well.
