SX: Power Rankings - Indy
Ryan Villopoto further established himself as the man to beat but how does the list shake down behind the champ?

6. James Stewart (Last Week: 7 / +1)
Stewart very well could have had his second win of the season in Indy had he not stalled the bike in the slowest section of the track. He’s been forcing the title contenders to step up their game in recent weeks and will likely continue to do so throughout the remainder of the season, making podium points even more precious for Villopoto, Millsaps, and Dungey.
7. Trey Canard (Last Week: 6 / -1)
Trey suffered a scary crash in Indy and ended up with a concussion as a result. It looks like the hard luck will continue for Canard as he is expected to sit out this weekend in Toronto. Canard already fell to sixth in the standings as a result of his DNF and will likely lose another spot this week. With a couple weeks to rest, hopefully Canard can rejuvenate himself and come back firing in Houston.
8. Andrew Short (Last Week: 8 / No Change)
'Shorty' had his best race since joining BTO Sports KTM in Indy, providing a boost in confidence. He’s been getting better and better the more time he spends aboard the KTM and it shouldn’t be long before he’s back challenging for a spot inside the top five.
9. Eli Tomac (Last Week: 10 / +1)
Tomac has learned about what it takes to compete at the top level during his temporary foray into the premier class. His results have been mixed, but his riding has improved each week. While his time on the big bike has officially come to an end, Tomac made his presence felt in the races he entered. The real value of Tomac’s time aboard the 450 will be felt when he returns to 250 action out west in a few weeks.
10. Matt Goerke (New Entry)
Goerke had one of the most impressive rides of the night in Indy. He got a good start out of the gate and translated that into a tie for his best finish of the season in eighth. Goerke has exceeded expectations aboard his KTM and now he’s knocking on the door of the top 10 in the standings, just one point behind Broc Tickle.
