God I love the short tracks. It's where the real people race. It's where you can still smell the methanol, the octane in the gas, the funnel cakes and dirt in the air. It's real racing.......still.

“Mike Hillman Jr. has…had his NASCAR probation extended through Dec. 31.”
I find it odd that when someone is already on probation that the penalty handed down is to extend that probationary period plus a small fine. What penalty is next, thirty lashes with a wet noodle?

There's been a lot of talk of how Ferrari in good concience could accept the win at Spa after Louis Hamilton was penalized 25 seconds. That's easy. They replay Louis running into Kimi in the pits at Montreal...

Here is hoping we get to see an F1 race decided on the track rather than the stewards room.

. . . if there wasn't a slim chance that someone else could possibly win the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship . . . then they would just give the Trophy to Jimmie Johnson and not even run these last four races ?
thank Y'all.

Rowdy turns into "Rocket Man". The last ten laps of the NCTS at Phoenix was something beautiful to watch. I haven't seen a race machine move through traffic like that since Dale Sr was doing it. Long live the new intimidator, Kyle Busch!

The problems with the auto industry aren't only effecting the executives in Detroit, they are having an impact on NASCAR. Seems that the manufacturer that has survived this economic downfall the best is Toyota, but just barely. We'll see at Daytona whether or not factory backing is the catalyst to a winning team, or if NASCAR has made it a cookie-cutter operation of which driver can muscle his way up to the front and stay there.
