From what I have read on these boards, most viewers seem to agree: they somehow got the impression that SPEED-tv was a racing channel. And most of them are only interested in racing.
I would rather see a re-run of last weekend’s race, than a “reality” show about anything—tow trucks, high schools, car customizers … I want RACING.
Motor vehicles competing. That is what SPEED viewers want. With all the different series, and all the different time slots … If I have to work on the weekend, I want to watch the ALMS race Monday night … and maybe Thursday late night. If I miss a NASCAR race, I want it rebroadcast late-night. And I want to see SCCA, Challenge Cup, Grand-Am, Euro GT, Le Mans Series, Indy, F1 … (say, grats for running the Chinese GP the next day for those of us who couldn’t make the early a.m. Sadly, I was at work and couldn’t watch it at noon Monday either.) Drag racing, boat racing, motorcycle racing, karting … The only tow truck I ever want to see is one pulling the wreck off the track so the racing can resume.
Why is it that the SPEED channel has no primetime racing all week long? I have to wait until 3 a.m. EDT to see motorcycle racing, which is good racing, but what about the other 22 hours of the day? Why isn’t your prime-time lineup packed with RACING. You know, cars moving at high SPEED?
You guys should run racing from dinner until dawn every day. Sadly, most days you have only an hour of racing all day.
I would certainly watch racing if it was on. As it stands, I cannot watch your channel just about any time because usually your fare is worse than not watching TV. Forget competing with other channels—you can’t compete with other activities.
Why try to compete with all the non-racing shows? Your one specific market is racing, something no other channel has. But then, you don’t have it either.
Racing. Interesting program choice for a channel supposedly about racing, eh? You guys ought to consider it.

agreed, i only watch speed for the F1, occasionally alms. Pinks, the big problem with that garbage, is that 3/4 of the show is them flapping their jowls.
