I don't have a problem with kit cars, heck I would love to build a Cobra kit myself. I also do not have a problem with doing a body kit to make a car look like somthing else. Anybody here remember Fiberfab?

The real problem I have with this show is the quality of workmanship it is showing. If I recall a statement was made that this guy was a "profesional kit car assembler". If he gets paid to do that I sure hope he uses a lot of lube on his customers first.

Agreed. I take more care using my Sawzall slicing up wood scraps for the firepit in the backyard!...

I tuned into this and expected to see a true kit car, like a shelby cobra, not to see production car being raped.

Their next build is a Cobra, should be interesting.

Only if show a better regard for workmanship and detail than they did with the Porsche Boxster.

I was expecting to see something like a factory 5, or some 7 being built. But I had to turn it off...just like most other speed shows.

I don't see how they could add to the kit car experience anyway. Anybody who can follow directions and get the parts not available through the kit manufacturer could do it.

Ya, as long as they can afford a Boxster chassis to bolt it on right?....

Agreed. And again, what are they going to use as the chassis? If they go out and take an 07 Mustang or Vette or something and then hang the body kit, it's another joke.

Hacking a decent Porsche Boxster into some kind of kit car is just not right. Maybe if the result looked good it would be a different story. At least they did not put an I love Dale Jr. sticker on the rear bumper. At least I did not see one. Any show on SpeedTV that is not NA$CAR ralated is rare. Pinks, Kit car and the other "reality" shows on SpeedTV make me happy there is an OFF button on my TV. Instead of watching a classic Porsche get violated, they could be showing coverage of any WRC event held this year. Oh, wait. That series has cars turning BOTH left and right, and runs in rain, snow or sleet and on gravel and/or tarmac as well as dessert sand. I am sure that would violate some corporate rule that SpeedTV is governed by.
