this shouldnt even be a topic. that obnoxious ###### in the evo diserved to wreck his buddys car (i feel for the buddy, but still) Who in the hell is going to take a low ass car like an evo off course like that. it was retarded, he bounced like hell and didnt even have a chance to stop or turn out of the way. dumb ass decision. when i was in highschool i took my 76 GP hauling ass down my gravel driveway... well i f'ed up too. i slid into my neighbors yard and almost took out a fence and took out a small tree... and ya know what, i had to pay for the tree and the sod to fix his grass. the people who laid the gravel on my road didnt have to pay for the damage to my car or his lawn...

think about it people, he kept the wheel straight, didnt follow the road, and got what he diserved.

and for those people that think the producers kicked evo off because they wanted to, you're idiots. the dart was faster. he hauled ass in the beginning and when he ran. they took no time at all when putting their helmets on. i agree the editing made him look slower than hell in the 2nd half, but hey, that also happened in a previous challenge. the editors of this show play with your emotions and it pays off. i like the show. keep it up speed

I'd love to compete. My brother and I would make an excellent team. you could choose from a variety of cars... 76 GP w/ a 400, 79 Chevy truck w/ 403 olds engine, 68 cutlass w/ 350 rocket, or possibly a 70 GTO w/ a 428 and 4speed (havent bought that one yet tho...)

Safety was the main concern for that challenge. The Evo guys were briefed on where the course ends and they did not follow them. No matter what kind of car you drive it is the precision of where you point the vehicle at.

There is no way SPEED will pay for the damages. This competition is held on public roads. So all drivers will have to sign a waiver releasing ALL liability from SPEED and all its affiliates. That way if a contestant is involved in a crash with some one who is not a contestant SPEED is not liable. This waiver will also release them from any damages your vehicle receives during competition. If you watched the first season you would have seen that team Lamborhgini hit a raccon causing 22K worth of damage to his front valence. He than burned out his clutch during the competition for coming in last. That cost him 25K. SPEED didn't pay for that. Everyone enters at their own risk.

As far as the speeding issue is concerned. Again its on public roads and you are breaking the law. SPEED doesn't want to be known as the TV channel that promotes speeding, Therefore they made it a rule not to speed.
I too would make a big deal about it cause there is 200K at stake. How is it fair that they are allowed to break the law and break the rules of the competition to gain themselves a better chance at that much money, when the rest of the teams are following the rules.

SPEED is NOT responsible for those 2 rides... Both teams know full well that they are entering this challenge at their own risk.

In regards to speeding... If it is literally AGAINST the rules, then SPEED should have already stepped in and dealt with each team, but they aren't doing anything as far as I know. For the teams that does speed, it is a gamble for them doing it because if they get caught from the cops, they will loose precious time. That is their risk that they are taking. The other teams are just upset because the teams that are speeding so far are getting rewards from their gamble (although they are not finishing in the top spots most of the time).

As for the rules on Speeding. You are penalized if you speed. There is a chase vehicle that follows you and logs your speed, which is then given to the producers every night. The penalties for speeding are included in your overall time for the leg of the rally.

There was no conspiracy theory against team Evo.
Im sure the producers where hoping they would stay around for awhile.
Conflicts make for a more interesting show.

The guy driving the Evo got overzealous and wrecked it, same deal with the Dart. As usual the person driving the American car is the smartest, the Solstice guy said never risk your car too much and you won't have any problems. That is extremely true.

In all fairness... if it was me, I would like the gesture is Bullrun would have bought me a new car.. BUT this is the real world, and Bullrun is not responsible. The Evo, clearly and blatently went outside the boundaries of the course. They were given the opportunity to walk the course, and signed the consent form only AFTER they assured, they were ready for the challenge. Paul, of TeamDart.. even told them, you guys need to go to the left out of the gate... they blew it off.

And as shocking as it was to see the dart do what they did.. that was on Paul. Paul was playin around.. and rolled it, again, this was NO fault of Speed or Bullrun..period.

How did the Dart beat the Evo?? I'll tell ya, it was the fact that mr. hollywood.. driving the evo, was more concerned with putting his gloves on, rather than driving the car. It took them an ETERNITY to put the helmets on. Why do you need gloves when running on a 30 second course? Tony and Paul, had thier helmets ready to go.. experience that they had from racing. The evo had a faster track time. They just got beat after the jail break.

So, that being said.. Evo is done. They lost the challenge, and lost thier car trying to be bad asses. They never followed the speed limit rules, and living life over the edge.. eventually... you will FAIL.

I love to see all of the armchair qb's. Maybe youguys are the kind of people that would let someone cheat.. (Yes speeding is the 1 rule) And be too scared to say anything.
Dont be jealous. Just try to get on next season.. That is if you have the car or the personality.

Thats why I like forums anyone can post crap , including you...so hear me out, you drive a freaking Kombi with more holes than a swiz cheese, losing break fluid, no wipers or heat and you think you got THE car?! Ok..Ok I guess that matches you personality too

i agree with lmp WS6 on what he wrote he is right because i watched the episode today too and i found out that team EVO was actually faster than team Dart, but because of the wreck bull run decided to play around with the time. this is obvious that bull run did not want to be responsible for EVO's lost but that is wrong because millions of people are watching the show and they will realize that this show is not following the roles... and i dont care for team Dart because that was their mistake and i hope that speed TV. would pay Team EVO for a new car...it would be generous.
