Looking forward to it again, as always. Meeting up with some friends coming down from Canada, they're psyched about PT racing this weekend for sure.
I'll be surprised if the winner isn't either Briscoe, Helio, or Dixon but I would love to see Kanaan turn his season around. Marco was very quick here in 2006 but hasn't impressed since. Wilson was quick here last year, and Rahal should be good...all in all looking for a great weekend and better racing than we've seen of late.
I will miss seeing the vintage F-1 cars this time, but overall we do have the best lineup of support races since the IRL started coming here. I would like to catch the Speed GT race but I'm sure my daughter will want me to wait with her to get her latest Danica hat autographed (like the previous 4 aren't good enough!)
Even get to see The Presidents of the United States of America..."Lump stood alone in a boggy marsh"...fitting lyrics at the former home of the BOG! :)

Really excited for this weekend. I have been for months.
PT and Tags back for this weekend. A couple of Canucks to cheer for. Lightning quick cars, quality drivers and a fantastic road course. What's not to like?
Time for a fun filled weekend of racing, fireworks and getting together with friends.
I certainly would not want to bet against the Penske and Ganassi boys, but Kanaan and Rahal are certainly ones to watch out for. As well, ole Bobby D loves the big, wide open road courses and could be a surprise. Justin Wilson could be a dark horse too, and of course, PT makes his long awaited debut at The Glen.

Got to admit this is my favourite portion of the schedule the Road/Street Course portion. Watkins Glen race last year was quite entertaining and this year I hope it's the same.
Gonna be fun to see Tags and PT racing and seeing Wilson move from the back of the field to the front of the field.

What is the vintage food there at the Glen? In other words is the Glen famous for their food?

Short Answer: NO!!! There are all sorts of great foodstuff's Central NY is famous for: Cornell Chicken, Spiedies, Italian sausage and peppers sandwiches to name a few...none of which you can get at the Glen (well maybe the sausage and peppers, but its not very good). They have crappy track food, so be sure to bring your own...
I can tell you House of Hong in the Village makes a nice house special fried rice (but its hard to eat with chop sticks and watch a race). I usually stop at Bob's BBQ in Homer on my way down from Syracuse to get a BBQ chicken dinner (its the Cornell recipe, slightly modified...they do ribs and pulled pork too)...Sorry but the Glen has a lot to learn from Road America..(ahhhh...brats and roasted corn...mmmm...beeeer)

Mr. Chicken is a must to stop at in the village, some of the best chicken I have ever had.
