See, Toronto unfortunately will be back to "follow the leader" I think...

I think you'll be surprised by the passing opportunities that Toronto offers. Corners 1, 3 and 8 are all good and sometimes you'll see the odd dive bomb into 5 as well.

It took me a while to finally get on here to post my thoughts on The Glen but here goes.

Great weekend of racing. Really enjoyed it all. Super good Speed GT race on Saturday, despite the thin field. I also though J.R. Hildebrand drove like a man possessed in the Lights race. He should definitely be considered for the new U.S. F1 team.

Loved the Indy Race too. Very happy to see PT race at The Glen finally. Not the result I wanted, but he ran decently well early in the race, and was his usual aggressive self.

Extremly thrilled and happy for Justin Wilson and especially Dale Coyne. Long time coming and much deserved.

Also, the weather was great.

Now, for the two major bad things.

1) There is no reason why you can't have infield parking at an affordable price for the weekend for the majority of fans. Not allowing cars to park in an infield as big as The Glen is crazy. On top of that, in years past, at least you could park close to the areas of the circuit you wanted, and walk in. For Saturday this year, no such luck. The only lots that were open were lots 4 and 4A. If you wanted to watch in the Red/White/Blue stands, you had to park in 4a and walk down, with the parking lots right behind the grandstand were left empty. Crazy.

Worse, was that the gate down near the boot was closed and so were all the lots. We had to park in lot 4 and walk in behind the front stretch grandstands and walk all the way down to the boot. Just insane. There is absolutely no reason for this. All it would take is a handful of employees to man those gates. Talk about being cheap.

The walk doesn't bother me, but my dad is getting older now. The walking took it right out of him, and he was not impressed.

2) They let pretty much all of the infield traffic out of the track first before letting anyone else out first. What should have taken 15 minutes to get out of the lot took 90 minutes. Whoever was running traffic control should be fired. Just insane.

Again, overall, a great weekend. A very small crowd on Saturday but a really nice crowd on raceday. Still a great deal at $55.00, and a super nice circuit.

However, the parking and gate nonsense needs to be addressed.

You ought to post that on theglen.com's forum. They seem pretty good about at least listening to complaints. I think they extended camping to Monday morning because of forum posts.
