Fast 6 qualifying was about half the alloted time, due to Franchitti's crash...

IMHO, they should have been given extra time to make up the full 10 minutes..

I like the way IndyCar does this because it forces the drivers to be fast every lap.

Dang, sorry I missed it. Good for BadAss Wilson; it's great to see Coyne's pace on the road courses and street circuits this year.

I would also like to say my predictions were nearly perfect, as always. wink

VisionRacing - Graham Rahal's car has failed tech inspection and will be penalized 10 positions on the starting grill.

They meant grid.

Dumb question:

Why are road courses such great "equalizers"? It cannot be engineering as this is only Coyne's second trip to this track. It really cannot be drivers because Dario wrecked, Helio crapped out and Danica finished ahead of all her teammates so, we know it's not how good the driver is either. What is it?

Quick observations:

- Justin Wilson P2 = great!
- Michael Conway P6! Wow!
- Danica Patrick P7 atop the AGR fleet = impressive.
- Graham Rahal penalized = tech's wrath strikes [NHL] again.
- Helio Castroneves = P13? Yikes.
- Milka Duno P19 despite having the slowest qualification time of 1:33.6824 (more than 2 seconds off the pace of Richard Antinucci and Ed Carpenter).

You know that's a dang good question & a correct statement. I can't honestly answer that. I didn't expect any different from Briscoe but was surprised with Wilson. Not of his driving but the car was surprisingly right today. If only they could find that oval setup.
