Speed handed a 13-episode order for Dangerous Drives, a series commissioned from Pangolin Pictures that travels along with drivers on risky everyday missions such as transporting dangerous criminals or heavy loads, cites Multichannel News. Shot in hi-def, the series will open with four episodes on Thanksgiving Day. Speed will also offer the series to cable systems for their VOD platforms and long-form content will be available via iTunes, Hulu and Sprint in addition to "best of" clips on iTunes, Sprint, AT&T;and MobiTV.

You know the guys on the Big Block Thursdays promos right? The one guy has a hammer stuck in his head, the others are just partying.
These are the guys they want to be Speed followers, the mindless idiots that think everything is funny as long as it doesn't take any effort to understand what they are watching. You know the MTV croud.
Speed is pityful.
It used to be my go to channel now I barely pay any attention to it except to see if things are getting better. They aren't.
Most of the racing is now on other channels like ESPN and VS.

Wow, Dangerous Drives. I expected something like, rally racing on a cliff or the Baja where racers sometimes get killed, not driving a heavy load of down an interstate.

There's a program I think NatGeo shows from time to time on a dangerous road somewhere in the Andes and I've watched it any time it was on and I was hoping for something like that, but Speed has to continue to show how ridiculous they can be when they set their heads to it.
