after seeing some of the shows they are airing on speed i want to put a hammer into my head. wreaked,jacked and now this . SPEED is now just another MTV . a channel that has nothing to do with its name

Speed Channel=SPEED. What's up with the wrecked trucks and Barrett-Jackson stuff?

Come on SPEEDtv, another show not about racing? Your subscribers are intelligent folks who loves racing and motoring. Bring back more racing series, international racing series, shows that talks about cars, motos, and race boats, race teams, and racers. I am beginning to find myself watching more shows on HD Theater than SPEED, because they have shows that petrolheads like.

Long ago, I saw my first ad for 'Wrecked.' I started laughing, thinking it was one of those spoof-ads, kinda like the Hagerty Car-Bra ad and similar. I kept waiting for the punchline, if you will. Nope, they were serious.

A couple of days ago, I had a chuckle, albeit bittersweet, at the thread floating 'ideas' for new Speed shows, knowing that the preposterous suggestions might not be that far from the truth.

Then I see this.

I suppose we should all be used to it now. :/

Awesome, another show that they'll replay 20 times a week instead of any original programs, like racing.

Speed, like NASCAR, is catering to those who have not and will never watch racing. Or Speed.

Speed takes more and more the attitude that if it's not NASCAR it's not racing.

Is anyone at the network proud of this kind of programing?

Speed is absolutely pathetic right now. Another non-racing program? What, did we have a shortage of these shows or something?

Speed needs to change it's name to "sort of fast" or something like that because it clearly wants to have nothing to do with ACTUAL racing or racing fans.

It's also clear that none of the powers that be read these boards or even care about the people that post here and give their opinions.
