I thought the circuit was great. Needed some more elevation change other than that, not bad. Remember, you have to build character. Ten years from now we'll all be talking about it as an old standby. B-man will be pushing a track on the moon.

I agree with you. Sure the track isn't perfect but things have to change sometimes, and to say we shouldn't race there because its in a desert is unfair. I really hope we don't lose Silverstone, but #### happens. Ignoring costs it would have been so sweet to go to this race, the facilities make Indy look like complete trash (which they are, but I hope they come back there)
Look at it this way, think of your favorite track on the F1 calendar, now imagine if every race was on that track...that track would then suck. New tracks like this make the old ones even better.
I literally can't agree any more than I do.

I think that Abu Dhabi is an amazing track, better now at race time than I thought. Day to night change, long straight, pit exit tunnel, safe runoffs, nice passing opportunities, state of the art lighting. This is a great track and this modern track is well needed to draw new fans. Those that fear change like Abu Dhabi are too old to watch F1 since looking forward and pushing limits is what F1 is and should be. Yes Silverstone are Monza, Spa and other legendary tracks are still amazing and I wouldn't want to see them out of F1 but those that say 'It shouldn't be on the schedule cause it's in the desert' are wrong. Is the track perfect, no, but like all other tracks they can change it to make it even better. If it is created by man it can be fixed by man.

I liked it. Yes, it feels like they are racing on another planet, but it is stunning and the layout produced a lot of decent racing. How many tracks now give us that? Not a lot. I can't imagine the amount of $$$ put into that whole project, though....

It's a nice track and that long straight can make for some good action. But it takes time for a track to develop character and it needs more than local drivers. For all its history the Indy F1 track has no character. The things for me that define character are the racing events that happen over time or special features at a track that make for great racing.
