I think Daytona could be solved with less grippy tires, or with marginally different aero setup. ATM it is flat out all the time - barely. In fact, if the setup is bad, you can easily lose control. A small decrease of grip should force the drivers to slow down in corners, thus avoiding pack racing (if you want to call that racing).
For Talladega, I´d choose chicane. Unfortunately, by now it´s clear NASCAR wants to keep things in the way they are. As long as people like random crashfests, the money keeps coming, so...
The chicane is so Formula One.
This is 'Merica... put in a toll booth on the back chute.

Dega and Daytona tracks will not be changed, The France Family takes money in they don't spend it! You know the last time Daytona was repaved? 1977!!! 32 years ago, the last time I was there(04) I was not impressed with the condition of the place.

skinny tires. Use a ~9" wide tire to reduce the grip where you need to and use the new wider tire they are developing at tracks that ned more grip.
or even just use their grooved tires goodyear already makes for transport and show cars and update with the right compounds.....or is that too f1..........

I think I still have a hot-knife in one of the old boxes. I'll look later.

Y'all have a lot more faith in the Goodyears than I do. Or a lot more faith in SAFER walls or CoT's or catchfences or safety crews. Daytona and Talladega are one of the few places where tires are hardly ever a concern and you want to alter them in some way.
It might not be a bad idea to slow the cars down, but I'd like to get some driver feedback on that one. Wonder what Tony Stewart would think?
