Those saying no plates and lower banking are asking for a SNOOZEFEST!

I'm sick and tired of hearing people whine about restrictor plate racing and saying take off the plates or cut down the banking. If that would happen, the most exciting races of the year would turn into SNOOZERS! Look at what we have at California, Michigan, Pocono, and Indianapolis. EXTREMELY BORING RACING!

But it IS racing, unlike what happens at the 2 rp tracks.

you're a fan of one of the most boring drivers out there and you're complaining about snooze-fest's?

what the heck did you call that yesterday? exciting racing? which part excited you, the single file ring-around-the-rosie for 100 laps? maybe it was the push to pass stuff.. reminded you of IRL? I found the entire thing a bore.

if they cut down the banking they could take the plates off and RACE instead of playing chess for 180 laps.

NASCAR is boring at Indianapolis because the track was made for IRL cars. They look fat and slow on that track. The Allstate 400 presented by the Brickyard is the most boring race on the NASCAR calender.

Until it's your driver who ends up on his roof....I cannot imagine how Ryan Newman's fans felt waiting for some audio so they knew he was OK.

I am not a fan of any driver and I hated having to wait to see if he was hurt.

not sure where to put this, but I figure here is as good as any.

There's only two options I see to keeping the banking at Talladega. One is redesign the cars, again. Make them rectangle bricks that have virtually zero aerodynamics. Make them like the cars in the 60's. If the bottom of the cars sit 18" off the track at full speed and have no front lip or rear spoiler, that will make them have to slow for sure.

...or a solution is push the fans way back (tracks are 1/4 empty or more anyway now), put up another fence, and take the RP's off. As crazy as it sounds, you can't say it's any crazier than racing an open wheel, open cockpit car at 230 mph on a flat rectangle. Those are the only viable ways I see to have a real race at Talladega without knocking down the banking.

Take Talladega and Daytona off the schedule. Replace them with any two short and/or dirt tracks of your choice. F I X E D ! ! !

I'm beginning to side with this opinion.

How about we just make them run backwards?

If it's a dirt track I nominate one here at home. Wythe Raceway. If an asphalt one is more your style, Motor Mile Speedway. Those two would be more entertaining. Biased I know but........... smile
