Please no attractive girl.... I am sick to death of the oh-so-obvious ploy of putting an attractive girl on the football sidelines with a microphone, or in a fire suit in the pits. It's so d*mned transparent.
I don't really care who, I'm just happy beyond words that Windsor is gone. I think Townsend Bell would be great.
Uh, if we can get an Erin Andrews type chick for F1, they had better take her. That will make those early morning races so much more enjoyable.

I vote stefmeister! He seems more knowledgeable and has a more positive attitude than most.

Why replace him at all?
In case you have been in a closet the past few months, Peter Windsor is one of the USF1 team owners. He'll be a bit busy next year.

I don't think James got to keep his FIA job. Someone totally different was doing it Abu Dhabi.
I wouldn't be surprised if Marshall Pruett or Adam Cooper (current writers for SpeedTV.com) would get the job. If Speed is going to go the attractive girl route then I nominate Lindy Thackson.
I'm pretty sure it was James Allen. He was at least there.
Some guy named Will Buxton handled the qualifying post-unilateral. James was back in the spot Sunday.

I'm guessing James Allen... it maintains the FIA interviewer thing (i.e. he's already flying around on someone else's buck) and he's worked for ESPN before. I think Bell still wants to race (he did very well at this year's Indy 500) and I'm not sure if he'd have any kind of presence on the grid...

I'm not sure why anybody has to do PW's job on SPEED, after all he is a comparatively recent addition. The reason he got the job I would think, as has been pointed out before, is that he was already there as the FIA post race interviewer and was inexpensive for SPEED to employ.
Like him or hate him, PW has been around F1 since the '70s and knows everybody and so everybody will talk on air with him. It's not what you know but who you know. Townsend Bell for instance, though articulate, is completely unknown to anybody on the F1 grid.
If a fourth person is added for SPEED F1 coverage then they must be cheap because when it comes to F1 budgets SPEED is tapped out and besides if it ain't NASCAR or junk programming they tend to throw nickles around like manhole covers.
