Back when I used to watch the F1 races on Speedvision, there was NO reporting from the race itself. Basically all we had was the commentary team yakkin away, describing what we all saw on the same screen. Except maybe they had access to live timing.

My assumption is that we will have NO pitlane reporting or reporting from the race at all.

I remember when FOX had the rights for the race after the ESPN deal ended, all they had was Sam Posey in the studio for the pre-race.

Fox owns Speed.

Danica or that babe that's engaged to Ryan Briscoe. Or how about Kimi ...... wouldn't that be fun!!!!!! cool grin

Nicole Manske
is her name. I caught a NASCAR report of hers tonight and she comes across like she knows what she's talking about. She'd be great.

Or, if Kimi Raikkonen doesn't end up at McLaren, I'd go along with your suggestion with Kimi dressed either like James Garner from "Grand Prix" or perhaps a James Hunt 70's look accompanied by two smiling, good looking women, one on each arm, who can actually talk when Kimi doesn't, know the sport -- the above mentioned Nicole Manske and Rachel Nichols from ESPN would work. If you thought the grid was crowded with Peter Windsor ... I'm sure all the drivers will want to say hi. And I'd save the Gorilla suit for Kimi's in depth interviews with the likes of Bernie and Flav.

Regarding Peter Windsor-- I have always been a fan and appreciated his inclusive attitude and his enthusiasm for the sport.

Man, I miss having Sam Posey commentate during the races. It was great to hear him and Hobbs banter back and forth. At least we still have his introductions to each race.

Why replace him at all?

In case you have been in a closet the past few months, Peter Windsor is one of the USF1 team owners. He'll be a bit busy next year. wink
I'm quite aware of why he won't be available next year. I'm suggesting that they eliminate the position. His grid walks got to be tedious, and it's absurd to have four people comentating on the race.

Naomi Campbell, she's often at the races and has an intimate knowledge of the drivers.
Probably a lubrication expert too.

You guys are putting the cart before the horse. Speed has to get broadcasting rights for F1 renewed first. After that they can replace Windsor, with ME!!!

What ever you are asking, I'll do it for half.

What is half of free?

I don't know about that. Maybe it's because I've been watching him for so long, his melodramatic act has gotten stale for me. Tell you what, I'll accept Posey as long as he isn't doing monologues. He needs someone to jerk him out of his personal reveries once in a while.

I can see her now... chucking her cell phone at poor Jean Michel when he shoots her at an angle she doesn't like. LOL

Please no attractive girl.... I am sick to death of the oh-so-obvious ploy of putting an attractive girl on the football sidelines with a microphone, or in a fire suit in the pits.

I resisted temptation to respond earlier but, having just had a stunning reminder of just how easy she is on the eyes, I'd like to put in a vote for the very lovely Pam Oliver. It's hard to believe that she's almost 50 years old! I don't care whether she knows anything about F1 or not; I could look at her all day long, booty and all. wink
