Chennel 128 is about he only thing i listen to in my car anymore, but I have had enough of Dave Moody; this is a guy who without a doubt "does not bite the hand that feeds him"........A month ago I made that point on the air to him that the start-and-park cars are a complete travesty to nascar, i made the point that any sport before the media, money, fans, the skill, every sport is about competition, that is what a sport thrives on.....cars that just show up with no intention of competing are an embarresment to the sport, and Nascar should put a stop to it..Moody would have none of it, he's under the impression that if , you qulify for the race, then you have the right to line-up on Sunday and race....yes they do, but they have no intention of racing, and that should not be allowed. it's a practice that ascar needs to find a way to stop...........On his show today, Moody, even after fan after fan called complaining that the bulk of the race was horrible thanks to nascar's new bump rule, insisted that the race just as competitive as any other nascar race he's seen there...........After listening to this guys bias opinion it became obvious to me that he's just not going to bite on nascar for obvious reasons...........is Nascar a partner with channel 128?

I love listening to Moody when I can, and I think he's probably the most honest, unbiased guys on there. You want a kiss-ass? Listen to Chocolate. I love Chocolate as a personality, but he is ALWAYS kissing up to NASCAR. Moody on the other hand always calls it like it is.

As for your point about today? It probably WAS about as competetive as any other race there. Lets compare this one to the last few years.

Fall 09 - 60 lead changes among 26 drivers
Spring 09 - 57 lead changes among 25 drivers
Fall 08 - 64 lead changes among 28 drivers
Spring 08 - 52 lead changes among 20 drivers
Fall 07 - 42 lead changes among 22 drivers
Spring 07 - 40 lead changes among 20 drivers
Fall 06 - 63 lead changes among 23 drivers
Spring 06 - 56 lead changes among 22 drivers

If you go back and look, almost all Talladega and Daytona races have times where they string out and just ride. Everyone complains and moans when they all get racy and wreck on lap 5, but when they are patient and don't wreck in the beginning and make sure they're around at the end, everyone still complains. What will make some of you people happy? Look, I'm just as upset as anyone about these cars going upside down and the big wrecks, but to say this race was "boring" and the others were "great" is just absurd.

He's much better than Mike Bagley and his forced laugh all the time. That show has become unlistenable since Poole died.

I always bring up his name probably in about every interview, but you have to idolize the guy.  Who can win four straight titles in this type of era? Not even Jeff Gordon could do it. It’s a big deal.”- Kyle Busch on Jimmie Johnson

100% in agreement!

Although Pete Pistone adds something it’s more that taken away by Bagly who has turned into the morning diva!

Bump rule was asked for. Nothing wrong with the race. Just because Dale Jarret and Jerry Punch ran their mouths all day about it doesn't make it true.

the reason moody wasn't sympathetic to you is because you are wrong in the way you look at the start and parks. don't think for a minute the start and park guys wanna pull the car off the track and give up, there is not a guy that ever races one of those cars that wants to do that. these guys are showing up at the track and hoping that by some slim chance they get some sponsorship to fund the car to run all of the races. in racing there is a saying out of sight out of mind, these guys are showing up to the track hoping to collect enough money so they can get sponsorship or get enough prize money to do it the next week. don't fault them for trying to live out a dream of winning or being the next rick hendrick.

if you wanna blame someone blame nascar, they don't spread the money out enough from the top 20 on back, so finishing 40th vs 24th does not normally pay enough more money to make it worth buying the sets of tires it takes to run the whole distance.

I like Moody but I don't expect him to be perfect.

But I am disappointed Moody didn't tell you to go get a sponsor, fund a team, and put the start and parkers out of business.

It's obvious that start and parkers all wish they had a mega-sponsor so they can race rather than park.

Stop whining about it... solve it yourself.

Ummm vested interest

Moody is employed by MNR which is owned by guess who? International Speedway Corporation who also owns Talladega. (The very same ISC founded by Bill France, Sr. and who's CEO is Jim France,)

One big happy family and good old Moody is not going to bite the hand. Sure he nips at it from time to time but when push comes to shove it's ISC NASCAR all the way.

Almost everyone on the channel is biased as hell.

I can't stand Sirius speedway but you might as well not say anything negative if you call in. If you aren't one of his guests he's not gonna take you seriously.

I do like Pete though. He at least attempts to be fair.

Everyone that works on a NASCAR related show is biased. Walk into your boss's office tomorrow and tell him how he is running his business like crap and see if you still have your job.

Moody is a shill but not as bad at Danny "Chocolate" Myers.

I miss Poole and John Kernan. I don't listen to NASCAR radio much anymore.
