This is a very unfortunate turn. F1 should not be losing another marquee team. It will however be seen as good news at Sauber. But is it good news for the sport. I don't think so. I would wonder if Bridgestone's announcment, did not effect Toyota.

300 mil a year budget and not a single race win in 7 years of trying. Howett should just be grateful he's lasted this long...

Would they be very likely to continue as an engine supplier ( slash Kobayashi supplier ) or no?

I don't really care about Toyota being gone, although it would be nice if they were an engine supplier. Not a fan of factory teams. However, I am very disappointed for Kobayashi. I hope that someone will give him a ride, as he seriously deserves it.

I've just read Joe Saward's blog, and it would seem to confirm the reality of Toyota's departure from F1. This is a huge loss for F1, and all racing formulas. It may very well be a sign to the future of racing in general.
