NASCAR needs the track, because it's one of the few in the country that would host a Trucks/Nationwide weekend. They need the race to fulfill their TV deal most likely. Then again, if they hadn't burned their britches in Nazareth, Pikes Peak and Rockingham, and Memphis just went out of business.
