Agree with you cdnfan.
However, the timing is all off from the 2009 BrawnGP perspective.
There is something that I am missing with the time line.

For a guy that usually says little about other teams,I am surprised that the USF1 team warranted Ross Brawn commenting on it.

Out of context, I'm sure, as it relates to Mr. Brawn's comments about USF1.
However, you may have a good point.
Maybe he really has a hate on the US Team.
Just messing around.

As the HONDA pull out came very late in the season last year, and the car was very well on its development line, I think they would have had more than ample time to do there crash testing. The late emergence of an actual team had no effect on the car.

cdnfan,
You missed the point of this time line thing.
Mr. Brawn only had 2 months to convince the FIA to grid the Honda car.
Why is he calling out the USF1 Team 4 months before the first race, for the lack of crash testing?
I still think it was taken out of context.
I strongly believe that the FIA require a new Team ownership to re submit their cars for approval on the grid.
I have nothing to back that up with, although it really does make sense.

Most of the comments from Eurpean media seem to be in complete denial of USF1 and their progress. The establishment hates it when the little guy can do it better, cheaper, and more efficient. Those in the establishment are seeing their teams leave.

The German news media does seem to have a fixation on the USF1 team not making it to the gridline in March. These rumours keep making the press headlines, but without substantial content. Brawn could have been talking about in generalities of race car prep.

Sorry to disagree with you JumpyBob, but what I was saying was that the car was complete, and obviously met the FIA inspections and critieria. It was the actual team that was cobbled together in the last two months, not the car, that was ready to go, and as Ross Brawn has said they were afraid that they would never be able to show how good it was. So the last minute deal with Honda was their lifesaver, for the team, the car and the drivers.

#1 stays with Jenson no matter where he were to go. Alonso took #1 to McLaren, Schumi took #1 to Ferrari in 1996, etc.
