Is that specific enough?

We don't care about these types of shows. We like racing.

Save your money and buy some WRC or Aussie V8.

WRC priced itself out of the US market (shades of F1) and Aussie V8 is shown in the winter.

i know what speed's excuse is...but i'm pretty sure they ditched WRC to make room for garbage like launch hour. i think the programming geniuses see more "potential" in cooking up this crap and hoping it catches on.

and it would be AWESOME if we could see the V8 races, i don't know, say, within a few MONTHS of when they're actually run...and maybe not in the middle of the night either.

rolleyes

i still can't figure out why you've appointed yourself the forum ballwasher for the programmers here...unless you're being paid to stick up for some of these decisions.

Get Pinks off of the station. It's stupid. Unique Whips isn't as bad, but it's still iffy. Shows like that aren't interesting or significant.

Get more road racing on SPEED. Air classic road racing. Show biographies of road racers. Show history on road racing. Shows like the one David Hobbes narrated and hosted. Show re-runs of Goodwood Festivals. Bring back F1 Decade.

Why wasn't Heidfeld taking the F1.07 on the Nordschelife covered at all? That was a significant, fun, and historic event.

DTM and Aussie SC should be shown within the week at least as the races happened. Show FIA GT and WTCC racing in similar fashion.

You know, more RACING. At least some of that.

How much is Speed paying Nascar? I would guess a whole lot more than WRC.

As I've posted before, give some coverage to other series and they might catch on and get a following and bring in the revenue Speed is looking for. The problem with most TV stations is they want immediate ratings. If you research, there are a lot of hit tv shows that where deemed "flops" at the start of their run and then went on to be huge hits.

NASCAR has a much much larger audience than WRC ever did, even when it was in it's plum time slots.

It's not just what the cost is, but the cost vs return. If WRC had NASCAR like audience, then the return would have justified that cost.

4 solid years of tanking ratings? Hardly the start of the run, not to mention that Speedvision carried it before that.

And when all else fails, BLAME SPEED!

“Crap programs” are anything that I don’t like.

“Because I don’t watch it” means that nobody watches it either.
In memory of Nascara

Times have changed since Star Trek and Hill Street Blues. The competition for the program timeslots and the ad slots is much higher. And smaller networks need to maximize every program and ad slot. They can't wait around for a fan base to grow to create ratings to go from the .01 it was getting to a more acceptable .5 to 1 rating.

Small networks should concentrate on what they were intended to do to begin with, create nitch markets. Not make crap shows that alienate their core audience in an attempt to broaden their base.
